Marrying cousins [TWMII]

I am trying to marry my faction heir to my princess in Total War: Medieval II, but it says no unmarried general in area (they are cousins). I am on mobile version.
Someone help.

I know it is possible to marry cousins and uncles in the game. I just want to try it out but I can't seem to do it
