How can you get Elementals other than the temple?
There are certain moments within the story that you come across that give you access to specific elements.

If I recall correctly I think there is three instances where this occurs. The first element you can procure is Fire, second is Lightning (I think), and the third is Water.
It's like where I could take the elements(Like Thunder in the stormgate with Tiang fan or darkness in chapter 5 during the taio fight)

That is strange. Maybe it differs based on path? In my playthrough, Fire was offered first with the first encounter with Taio. Water was much later when you're sailing the sea traveling to the island to start the martial arts event. It's been a bit since I've played though, so I apologize I can't remember specifics.
I think I kinda remember how you could get fire I think it's involve about sacrificing the bandits but Thanks for the Water One I gotta try that on the next run
Cool! My personal favorite elemental combination are Shadow and Lightning. Always thought that's a cool mix. A second combination for me would be Shadow and Light.
You need to have at least 3 alchemy+lore on the mission in chapter 2 to craft the barrels of explosive manure, then blow up the tavern with them. After that you get the option of getting the fire element from the wreckage.
As for water, when you reach the storm on chapter 6, you have to leap from the ship to go into the storm, then you get the water element if you don't have it. If you do you get a rank increase to it.

It's unknown to me, in my playthrough I was a Kitsune Yokai. There was a slight transformation in my character but it is mostly, purely cosmetic from my understanding. It didn't have an impact much, unless he plans to add more to it later on.
