Gotta say, one thing I especially like about AC is that the author gave his best at trying to write a female playthrough in addition to the male MC - with frequent unique interactions based on gender and male LI content, also that whole tease with Jack, lol (unlike a certain other game that really favors girls named Mei)

@cultivator-anon this error popped up, but I can continue; I've also found an easy exploit to abuse, but I don't want you to fix that, cause it makes it easier to get specific things.

What about races?
No syncs for races, just play whatever race you want.
Monkey Yokai is the best though.

Monkey yokai get to meet Sun Wukong and get a "gift"
Kitsune get to charm and stuff
Humans get no racism
Lunargoths get to use Norse Runes
Oni get "demonic" **** like exorcism without handseal levels and iirc they do get a bonus with Aosusumu style

How do you get in the Top 5?, I beat the everliving **** out of Jack to the point of mortal injury, twice, but apperantly that doesn't get me in it, does it require a specific style?
So merchant (the capitalist class) syncs with the style that can steal auras?
No it doesn't require a style. To get top eight you have to get max points in the first two trials plus an additional score which should net you 8 out of 7 for the rabbit and tiger trials,then get max points in the dragon trials which can be done in a variety of ways depending on your chosen routes you pick before fighting Jack. Also beating the wild god in Harehama nets you I think two points beforehand. So your total scores should be 8,8 and 7 plus the additional points you gain beating the wild god. Don't know if I missed anything else.
Edit:I forgot to mention that when passing the catacombs in one of the routes during the dragon trial don't meditate outside but instead go in and confront the dark cultivator. Successfully beat him(this is done by surging five agility cores) and the bladed judge should arrive. Your mc gets an additional point this way as well.So going by what I said above it should be
* 8/7 for the tiger trial
* 8/7 for the rabbit trial
*7/7 in the dragon trial totalling to 23 points.
Then additionally the two points you gain from beating the wild god and that one point from the catacombs in the dragon trials making a total of 26 points. I got this and had no problem getting top five

They are all pretty good, but you can't go wrong with the classic yin/yang combo - ice/fire, kagutsuchi katana that you can find during the heist with Leona also boosts fire for free. I think fire is probably the most "frequently used" element of them all.
