Getting errors on PC

So I'm trying to use some of the mods in the CoG and HG mods threads but with most of them I'm getting an error. I extract the apk with 7-zip, go to the assets folder and open index.html with Firefox. Then it gives me

"Error: Couldn't load scenes/startup.txt.json. The file is probably missing or empty."

I'm on Windows 11 and just wanted to know if there was anything I could do to fix this like using another program or modifying any files. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Yeah same I noticed that but I think it might be the way he makes his apks so I would just ask him. Or just take the scenes and compile them yourself. If it works like that.

Download this choicescript master. When you extract it it web-my game-scenes. Then just put the scenes there then go back to the beginning to compile it.

I'm having the same problem when trying to run Wayhaven 3. I tried 'uploading' it in choicescript and it did end up making the game run, but the save import from book 2 is not working at all.
