My gaming habits this year have been unlike any other. One of the reasons why is the shear amount of demos that I’ve played. Most years I can count them on one hand but this year I’ve played nearly 50. These are three of my favs from the last couple of weeks. @esotericebbofficial is extremely up my alley. The writing, art, UI and systems all work in a particularly silly harmony that makes me so excited for more. Merry Crisis by @monsoongamestudio allows for more character customization(in terms of player character gender & sexual orientation and that of its potential love interests) than most games. It made me laugh, say, “oooOoo” aloud at some flirty comments and melt while looking at the dogs. Pieced Together by @glowfroggames bringing the wholesome puzzle narrative energy that I’ve found myself craving lately. It’s puzzle-lite, which is perfect for me, and so far has relatable story telling, rich colors, and cute stickers.
